Objectifs of the Historical Society Keizer Karel Gent vzw

On 18 November 1970, the Charles V Foundation was founded with the following objectives:

• Promote the researches and the cultural and non-cultural historical events related to the period of the reign of Charles V;
• Promote the creation, preservation and expansion of collections, objects and documents in connection with that period;
• Contribute to the establishment of "Charles V. Cabinet";
• Organize conferences, exhibitions, parades, performances and visits;
• Publish a quarterly magazine "Die Chronycke" in which the century of Charles V is discussed in details;
